A convict, Kwaku Gardiner has been recounted crimes he committed that resulted in his arrest and subsequent sentence.
As a university graduate, he said he was hopeful of chasing his ambition, however, drug abuse held him back.
According to him, his addiction took the better part of his life until he was arrested in a swoop by officials of the Ghana Police Service.
Prior to his arrest, Kwaku said engaged in acts no matter how crook it was to get money to buy drugs.
Kwaku Gardiner revealed that at one point he sold his father’s house he left for him in order to raise money to buy cocaine because he could not go a day without it.
“I’m an addict to high intake which means I consume more stuff. This means I have to buy more in grams. I don’t buy pinches, boosters, no. I buy enough so that I stay away from the ghetto because of rampant police chasing,” he said.
“I sold my father’s house and I was living in my house. Even at my house, I sold all my furniture and everything in my kitchen. I always found a way of making my wife understand until everything was sold.
One day I had to sit her down and tell her my story and why I sold everything. After that, I got arrested,” he said in an interview with Crime Check TV.
After serving some time behind bars, Kwaku Gardiner said he is a changed man.
“After serving my tenure in prison, I will not go back to doing drugs,” he said.
