President of the Ghana Arm Wrestling Federation, Charles Osei Asibey, has jabbed the board of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), calling out their leadership after the postponement of the GOC Congress.
In the early weeks of April, the GOC via a press release announced it was set to hold its Congress on April 28.
However, on April 21, the GOC made it known through a communique that Congress had been postponed to 'a date to be announced soon'. But the release failed to mention reasons for the suspension.

According to the Arm Wrestling Federation president, the constitution of the Ghana Olympic committee mandates the board to provide reasons as and when Congress is rescheduled.
"They triggered part of Article 5.2 of the constitution. It states that 'Congress shall meet at least once every year. Where for any legitimate reason it is not possible for Congress to convene as prescribed, the board shall communicate the reason'.
"[But] they have refused to communicate reasons for which Congress is not holding, and if indeed there's a reason Congress has been suspended, it is fair to tell members. So you just don't suspend Congress indefinitely and tell us that it'll probably be before the Commonwealth games; I think it's not quality leadership," Mr Asibey said in a JoySports interview.
The 2022 Commonwealth Games will be Ghana's 17th appearance at the event.
