The Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has addressed Ghanaians on the country’s decision to seek economic assistance from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
This follows his earlier engagements with officials of the Fund on Tuesday, July 12 as part of IMF’s data gathering visit.
He spoke as the Guest of Honour at the official launch of an event organised by the Accra Business School and South East Technological University in Ireland.
Meanwhile, the IMF delegation that visited the country has concluded its seven-day working visit aimed at assessing the current economic situation of the country.
“We reaffirm our commitment to support Ghana at this difficult time, consistent with the IMF’s policies,” a statement issued by IMF on Wednesday said.
