A Non-Governmental Organization, TheReports Outreach (TRO), has launched a program dubbed: Food On the Street Initiative at Madina in Accra.
After the launching ceremony, the organization shared food among people on some selected streets across the capital.
The initiative, which is in line with the Sustainable Development Goal 2 (zero hunger) aims at feeding the homeless and physically challenged on the streets.

The food which came in packages and drinks worth thousands of Ghana Cedis were distributed among residents which included women, children and physically challenged persons.
Some of the places where the food items were distributed included Madina, Shiashie, Airport, 37, Dzorwulu and Osu.

In an interview with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of TheReports Outreach, Humphrey Asigbee, he disclosed that the initiative is an annual event that provides basic relief to the needy.
The purpose of the initiative is to feed the homeless, especially children living on the street
He added that escalating prices of commodities have become the major challenge, however the CEO was of the view that those challenges could be overcome.

“It is our dream to see every child happy no matter where they are, and this should be our responsibility as advocates of change," said Mr. Humphrey Asigbee.
The second runner-up of Miss Senior High School Ghana, 2022, Mardiya Seidu, who participated in the program thanked the organizers for organizing a program which gives relief to the needy.
The initiative put wide smiles on the faces of the beneficiaries who had been going about their usual hustles to earn income for a living under the scorching sun.
TheReports Outreach is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) with the objective to reach out and empower children across Ghana.
