Government through the Interior Ministry has declared Tuesday, December 27th, 2022, as a public holiday.
A statement dated December 23 and signed by Interior Minister, Ambrose Dery stated that Tuesday was declared as an additional holiday because 25th December which marks Christmas Day falls on a weekend.
It added that President Akufo-Addo, by Executive Instrument (E.I) took the decision “in accordance with Section 2 of the Public Holidays and Commemorative Days Act, (Act 601).”
Members of the general public, have, therefore, been advised to observe the aforementioned day as a public holiday throughout the country.
