Fourteen communities on Bowobra- Piase road in Sefwi-Wiaso Municipality have organised communal labour to fix their deplorable roads.
This activity, according to the residents, comes after the Member of Parliament for the area, Dr Kwaku Afriyie failed to honour his promise to them to fix the road.
“Dr Afriye, during the elections, promised that fixing the road would not be difficult for him to do. However, we have not seen any developments,” one of the residents complained to AdomNews' Augustine Boah.
About 4,000 people are cut off from the district capital, where they can access health care and other services, due to the deplorable condition of the road.

The area's inhabitants have bemoaned the discomfort that the state of the road has brought them.
According to them, accessing the road in cases of emergency was very difficult, mostly in the rainy season.
Additionally, they disclosed that farmers and traders were unable to transport their wares with ease, as most drivers were reluctant to travel down their community.

Meanwhile, they added that the few drivers who could access the road also charged outrageous fares.
Therefore, they called on the MP, to remember his promise before the electorates visit the polls in 2024.
But NDC parliamentary candidate hopeful, Sam Jerome has provided the residents with two trips of gravel to aid them in fixing the road.
He told Adom News that during his visit to the area, the inhabitants complained to him about the challenging life they were forced to live due to their damaged roads.
Mr Jerome assured that once the first is used up, he will provide extra trips of gravel to the people if the need be for it.
