Comedian Waris has pulled down a video he recently uploaded imitating a staff from Quick Credit.
In the video, he was seen approaching a customer who supposedly failed to pay off their loan while wearing their original branded T-shirt.
Comedian Waris harassed him in the hopes the customer will pay.
But the micro-credit institution released a press statement distancing itself from the video and the actions portrayed by the comedian in the video.
As a result, Comedian Waris pulled down the video admitting that the company was not pleased with the content after they reached out to him.
He issued an apology noting that he had no intention of making fun of the company and that the skit was solely for entertainment purposes.
“So I am here to apologise. They (Quick Credit) are not part of the collaboration in any way. The video has nothing to do with how they operate or whatever they do, so I apologise for using their logo in that manner, I am so sorry,” Comedian Warris said.
