The District Chief Executive for Asutifi North in the Ahafo Region, Anthony Mensah has expressed his delight over the absence of pregnancies among this year's BECE candidates in his district.
He made this revelation during a visit to BECE centers in Kenyasi and Ntotroso, where he was joined by the Ahafo Regional Education Director, the Ahafo Minister, and the Asutifi North Education Director.
Mr. Mensah explained that the district is pleased to report that there are no candidates who are pregnant or nursing mothers.
"This means the advice and training we gave the students have yielded results," he told Adom News.
Furthermore, he highlighted that there have been no cases of absenteeism, which reflects positively on the district's reputation.

According to him, in the past, issues such as pregnancies among BECE candidates, nursing mothers, and absenteeism were significant challenges.
However, through rigorous educational efforts, the District has effectively addressed these issues.
The Ahafo Regional Education Director, Lucy Ama Ankrah, on her part commended the Asutifi Police Command for ensuring all centres are serene for the examination.

She also applauded supervisors among others for ensuring there are no exams malpractice.
Meanwhile, the Ahafo Regional Minister, George Boakye used the opportunity to advised candidates to intensify their studies until the last paper. He also urged parents to compel their children to read more.
