The Presbyterian Church of Ghana has honoured Alexander Kesse Nyamesa, the immediate past General Manager of the Presbyterian Health Service, Agogo in the Asante Akyem district of the Ashanti region.
This honour comes as a result of his 36 years of exceptional leadership and commitment to the betterment of healthcare within the community.
In a statement by the Presbyterian Church of Ghana on his retirement, Mr Alexander Kesse Nyamesa was highly decorated by the church for his selfless dedication.
“We express our heartfelt gratitude to you for 36 years of remarkable service to the Presbyterian Health Service and community at large. Your exceptional leadership, professionalism and commitment to providing quality healthcare has left an indelible mark on the institutions you supervised and lives of countless individuals. As you embark on a well-deserved retirement, we extend our warmest wishes to you on a fulfilling and joyous next chapter,“ the statement read.
The newly appointed General Manager of the Presbyterian Health service, Agogo, Rev. Ezekiel Amadu Daribi also praised his predecessor for the yeoman's job he had done while in service.
“He became the general manager at the time when the service was poised for accelerated change and development. With his great depth of experience and knowledge in strategic management, he provided the much-needed impetus which became the driving force that propelled the area's health service into unimaginable growth,” he said.
Mr Alexander Kesse Nyamesa is a qualified pharmacist.
He became the General Manager of the Presbyterian Health Service, Asante Akim Presbytery from 2012 up to 2023.
Under his tenure, the Presbyterian Hospital, Agogo Asante Akim achieved a significant milestone in 2022 when it attained a secondary level status, making it a regional hospital.
