Ghana Women's Premier League champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies were second time lucky as they booked a slot to represent Ghana at the next edition of the CAF Women's Champions League.
The Nana Mma fought hard to secure a 1-0 win over Nigeria's Delta Queens in the final of the WAFU B Women's Champions League qualifiers.
The game which was played in Benin City in Nigeria saw Ophelia Serwaa Amponsah score the only goal of the game to ensure the Techiman-based side sealed victory.
Amponsah headed into the net from a rebound in the 42nd minute of the game to register her second goal of the tournament having also scored in the semifinal.
The recess saw Delta Queens see the majority of the ball and threaten on several occasions but Ampem Darkoa were resilient at the back and kept their composure.
Despite the late attempts, the Ghanaian side held on and secured victory to secure their ticket to play in the main competition.
Ampem Darkoa are second time lucky after failing to secure qualification last year when they lost to Bayelsa Queens in the final.
At the end of the game, Ampem Darkoa's Nancy Amoh was adjudged the Woman of the Match while Mary Amponsah was named the top scorer of the competition after scoring 8 goals in 4 matches.
They will become the second Ghanaian team to play at the CAF Women's Champions League following the participation of Hasaacas Ladies in the maiden edition in 2021.
Hasmal Ladies however suffered heartbreak in the final losing to South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns.
