The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Ketu North, Enoch Amegbletor has pledged to sponsor approximately 800 constituents from the 38 electoral areas to acquire any artisanry skills of their choice.
According to Mr. Amegbletor, this will help deal with unemployment in the area.
Speaking at an Easter event held within the constituency, he expressed optimism that this would improve human resource and enhance livelihoods.
He added that the beneficiaries will receive free training in hairdressing, carpentry, auto works, electrical works, welding and fabrication, and plumbing.
“This is the era of skilled work. Computers have taken over the works of those who use pen and paper, but computers cannot deliver what skilled workers do”, Mr. Amegbletor said.
He, therefore, urged his constituents to take advantage of the programme.
Meanwhile, interested individuals are encouraged to submit their names through the NPP Electoral Area Coordinators.
