The New Patriotic Party’s candidate in the Ejisu by-election, Kwabena Boateng, is currently leading in the ongoing polls.
Out of 204 polling stations, the Electoral Commission has officially declared the results of 177 and so far, Mr Boateng is leading with 56.1 percent, followed by Independent candidate, Kwabena Owusu Aduomi with 43.0 percent.
CPP's Esther Osei has so far garnered 0.2 percent, LPG's Beatrice Boakye has 0.3 percent, Independent candidate Joseph Fredua with 0.4 percent and Joseph Atakorah, also Independent, with 0.0 percent.
Electorates of Ejisu came out on Tuesday to cast their vote to elect a new Member of Parliament following the death of their MP John Kumah.
