New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Organiser, Henry Nana Boakye, has officially begun his campaign for the position of National 1st Vice Chair, starting with engagements across the Ashanti Region.
Mr Boakye said he chose the Ashanti Region as the starting point because of its historical importance to the NPP and his personal connection to the region.
He said he met with delegates from 12 constituencies as part of efforts to present his vision and seek their support ahead of the party’s internal election.

Mr Boakye also engaged members of the party’s Regional Communications team, television and radio callers, as well as social media team members, acknowledging their contribution towards defending and promoting the NPP’s interests.
He described the groups as individuals who work daily to communicate the party’s message on various platforms.

Mr Boakye said the engagements had left him encouraged by what he described as the determination of party members to rebuild the NPP and return it to political power.

“The journey to re-organise, to re-energise, and to lead the NPP to more victories begins now, and it begins at home,” he said.

He expressed gratitude to party members for the reception and support during his engagements, saying the Ashanti Region had made its position clear on the need for a stronger and more organised NPP ahead of the party’s next electoral contest.
