The Embassy of Italy, in Ghana, in partnership with the National Blood Service, has organised a blood drive in Accra.
The event, hosted at the official residence of the Italian Ambassador, D'Orlandi, sought to among other things, give back to humanity, support hospitals, save lives, and strengthen diplomatic relations.

The Italian Ambassador D'Orlandi supported by Ambassador Nancy Q. Sam, Tourism Ambassador for Miami, USA led by example, donating blood for the third time, followed by notable donors including the Executive Director of IPMC and his wife, the President of the Organisation for African Development.
Ambassador D'Orlandi, in a remark after the exercise, emphasised the importance of unity and giving back to humanity, stating, "We are all one people. Love is not just words, but actions."
Madam Sophia Mellis Blankson, Head of the National Blood Service Ghana, expressed her gratitude for the impressive turnout and highlighted how the event showcased the power of collaboration and the significant impact of selfless acts on humanity.
