Former Black Stars midfielder, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, has expressed satisfaction with what he has seen in Ghana’s back-to-back wins against Mali and the Central African Republic in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers last month.
The former Udinese midfielder believes there are positives in the games Otto Addo can build on going forward while revealing that he is a big fan of the former Borussia Dortmund Talent Coach.
The Black Stars overcame half-time deficits in both games to emerge victorious and are now second in Group I of the 2026 World Cup qualifying, behind Comoros based on goal difference.
"I think in his second coming, he said he's coming to build a team for Ghana. When he leaves, then he has a legacy,” Agyemang-Badu told Joy Sports.
“He's bringing in new good guys. We have watched the two games. You can't even remember the last time we won two straight games, especially an away game. So, we can build on that.”
There are a lot of lapses in the team. That one, we can’t run away from that. He's well experienced. This is the second coming. He knows where he needs to beef up. We will support him.
“I mean, I'm a fan of him. Let me tell you that for a fact. I think he will build a good team for us.
“He should be very tough like how he is as usual. Take decisions that he thinks will help him and help the team. That's the most important thing."
