The 14th Korean Ambassador’s Cup continues to serve as a prestigious platform for taekwondo practitioners, fostering sportsmanship and cultural exchange between Ghana and Korea.
This year's event featured fierce competition across 10 weight categories in Gyeorugi (sparring) and Poomsae (forms) performances, both individual and team.
The event attracted prominent figures, including the Korean Ambassador to Ghana, Mr. Park Kyongsig, and the President of the Ghana Taekwondo Federation (GTF), Mr. Frederick Lartey Otu, along with other executives and enthusiasts who presented awards to the winning athletes in various categories.

During the award ceremony, Mr. Frederick was honored with a citation. He also took the opportunity to acknowledge notable athletes and coaches, including the late Shaibu Yakubu and Da Rocha, who had represented Ghana at international events such as the Olympic Games.
In his speech, Mr. Park congratulated the athletes on their performances. He noted the growing popularity of taekwondo in Ghana, highlighting its benefits for physical strength and overall well-being.
The top performers from the event will represent Ghana at the upcoming 2026 Youth Olympics, aligning with the event's theme, "Mission to Senegal 2026 Youth Olympic Games."
