Ghana international Iddrisu Baba has completed a loan move to Serbian giants Partizan Belgrade from Spanish side Almería, with the deal including an option to make the transfer permanent.
The 30-year-old defensive midfielder arrives with a wealth of experience after spending the majority of his professional career in Spain, where he established himself as one of the country's dependable holding midfielders.
Baba rose to prominence during his time at Mallorca, playing a pivotal role in the club's promotion to La Liga before later joining Almería. He has also been a regular feature for the Black Stars, earning several caps for Ghana on the international stage.
The midfielder made 22 league appearances for Almería during the 2025/26 campaign, registering one assist while accumulating 1,479 minutes of action.
Renowned for his ball-winning ability, tactical discipline and physical presence, Baba is expected to add steel and experience to Partizan's midfield as the Serbian club targets domestic success and a strong run in European competition.
The move offers the Ghanaian a fresh challenge after several years in Spanish football, with Partizan securing the services of a player whose experience could prove crucial throughout the season.
Should Baba impress during his loan spell, Partizan will have the option to complete a permanent transfer at the end of the campaign.
