The Member of Parliament for Madina, Francis-Xavier Sosu, has called on Ghana’s youth to vote massively for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, in the December 7 general elections.
Speaking at the party’s final rally at Zurak Park in Madina on Thursday, December 5, Mr Sosu emphasized the role of young people in safeguarding democracy.

“On Saturday, if you are a young person in this country, and you believe in democracy and independent state institutions, then the only man with the track record to reset our democracy is his Excellency John Dramani Mahama,” he declared.
Mr Sosu further urged Ghanaians to view the election as an opportunity to protect and restore the country’s democratic principles.
“On December 7, every Ghanaian has an opportunity and a duty to defend our democracy once again,” he stated.

The MP highlighted the need for institutional reforms, referencing the 2024 Afrobarometer survey, which reported that nearly 97% of Ghanaians lack confidence in state institutions.
“This is because these institutions have been heavily politicized. Ghana needs a reset, and only John Mahama has the vision and track record to deliver that,” he added.
