A group of women, calling themselves Loyal Ladies, has launched a door-to-door campaign to support the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the December 7 election.

Citing economic hardship, the group aims to help NDC win power.

During a recent event at Old Tafo near Kumasi in the Ashanti, Royal Ladies' treasurer, Sore Alberta, reaffirmed the group's commitment to actively supporting the NDC in their bid for political power.

The Loyal Ladies group said they are determined to support the NDC in Saturday's elections.

Their goal, they say, is to help the NDC complete its unfinished work in achieving a better Ghana agenda.

To achieve this, the group is educating its members on the voting process to minimise spoilt ballots and maximise the NDC's chances of winning.

Mariam Suleman and Asore Alberta, the group's spokesperson and treasurer, respectively, are leading the charge, expressing their readiness to promote the NDC's message.

“Our intention is to help the NDC win back power so that John Mahama would come to complete his unfinished job to build a better Ghana.

"This election, Dr Bawumia can't deceive us again that he is our colleague Muslim because he used deception and lies to become the vice president. This year's election is about you and my future,” they said.

According to the group's treasurer, Asore Alberta, they are well-prepared to effectively promote and disseminate the NDC's message.

“I would like to appeal to the youth that, we should not let violence lead us into this election. Let us love, unite, and have good intentions for the country because we know victory is ours.”

The Constituency Organizer for NDC Old Tafo, Rabiu Mohammed, encourages party members and the public to focus on educating voters to minimise spoiled ballots during the election.

He believes that this effort will boost the party's votes and give them an advantage over the ruling NPP.
