School authorities of the Kadelso Rashadyya Islamic School in the Brong Ahafo Region have threatened to close down the school due to inadequate infrastructure.
They say the students can no longer be kept under trees especially as the rainy season approaches.
For the past five years, the kindergarten and primary classes have held their lessons under trees. There are only three classroom blocks in the school.
Some students who spoke to Joy News’ Kwetey Nartey said they are frustrated about the situation and prayed Government to put adequate classrooms for them.
Assistant Headmaster of the School Opoku Jyaba Prince told Kwetey they are left with no option than to close down the school because several pleas to the district education office and assembly have yielded no results.
“We are facing too many problems in the school. There is no class room for the class one up to six and kindergarten classes do not have classrooms, they are all sitting under trees”, he said.
He complained of teachers' inability to control the children because most of them go back to their homes during break and do not return.
Mr Opoku Jyaba said the pupils will be made to stay at home until Government comes to their aid.
