In a statement released by the presidency on Tuesday, 21 January 2025, President John Dramani Mahama unveiled his third set of ministerial appointments.
The announcement, signed by the President's spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu outlines the inclusion of highly regarded individuals in key positions within his new administration.
Among the prominent appointments is Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, who has been nominated as the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources.

Born on May 10, 1966, at Atuabo in the Ellembelle District of Ghana’s Western Region, Buah holds a law degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and a Master of Science degree in Management from the Maryland University College in the United States.
Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah has made significant contributions to the country's energy and petroleum sector after serving as Ghana’s Minister for Energy and Petroleum from 2013 to 2017 under then-President John Mahama.
Buah’s political career, which spans over a decade, saw him hold other notable positions including Deputy Minister of Energy under the late President Atta Mills in 2009.
As a Member of Parliament, he has represented the Ellembelle constituency in the Western Region since 2009.
Some of his notable Parliamentary committee memberships include Appointment, Business, Trade, Industry and Tourism Committees.
Other committees are Members Holding Offices of Profit Committee, Privileges Committee and Committee of Selection.
He is currently the Deputy Minority Leader in Ghana’s Parliament.
Buah is a Christian and has two children.
