The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a temporary power outage in the Airport area of Accra and surrounding communities on Sunday, August 2, 2026.
According to ECG, the outage is to allow for planned maintenance works aimed at improving service delivery.

The power interruption is scheduled to take place from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The company also announced another temporary power outage in parts of Accra East on Monday, August 3, 2026.

The exercise, per to ECG, is intended to improve service delivery and will affect customers from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The affected areas include parts of East Legon, parts of Okponglo, Fafraha, Ashiyie and surrounding communities.
The company apologised to customers for the inconvenience the exercise may cause.
