Ghana striker Brandon Thomas-Asante was on target again as Coventry City defeated Swansea City in the English Championship.
The forward scored a stunning long-range goal to double the visitors’ lead after Ellis Simms had opened the scoring early in the game against the struggling hosts.
Thomas-Asante’s moment of brilliance came when he capitalised on a Swansea error in midfield, unleashing a powerful first-time shot from around 40 yards that dipped under the crossbar and into the net.
It was his third goal in four matches, following his decisive strike in Coventry’s crucial win over Bristol City in the previous game.
The forward is enjoying his best goal-scoring form after a drought since October last year, with three goals and as many assists this season—earning praise from Frank Lampard.
The result is crucial for the Sky Blues, who are now within reach of the play-off spots after four successive Championship wins.
