The Gyam Institute of Technology & Industrialization (GITI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Ghana (IET).
The partnership aims to deliver industry-relevant project management education and certification, equipping professionals with the expertise needed to efficiently handle complex projects and address pressing engineering challenges in the country.
Elevating Engineering Standards in Ghana
The collaboration between GITI and IET seeks to address recent engineering lapses and the growing demand for more knowledgeable engineers capable of driving industrial improvements. Under the agreement, GITI will offer specialized project management training aligned with internationally recognized standards. Successful candidates will earn the prestigious Institute of Project Management Professional (IPMP) certification, a credential that significantly boosts career prospects and professional credibility.
Additionally, GITI will facilitate the induction of qualified candidates into the IPMP professional body, further integrating them into a global network of project management professionals.
A Shared Vision for Professional Development
The partnership between GITI and IET is rooted in a mutual commitment to knowledge-sharing, professional development, and capacity building. As part of the agreement, GITI will provide high-quality project management training delivered by experienced instructors, ensuring that IET members receive education tailored to industry needs.
In turn, IET will officially recognize and promote GITI as a trusted provider of project management education among its members. The two organizations will collaborate on marketing efforts to expand awareness and accessibility of the training programs, making them available to a broader audience of engineers and technologists.

Advancing Ghana’s Industrial and Economic Growth
This partnership represents a significant milestone in the professional development of Ghana’s engineering and technology workforce. By equipping engineers with essential project management skills, GITI and IET are not only enhancing individual careers but also contributing to the nation’s industrial and economic progress.
As technological advancements and infrastructure demands continue to rise, initiatives like this are crucial for preparing professionals to navigate challenges, optimize resources, and drive sustainable development. The training program promises to be a game-changer for engineers and technologists seeking to elevate their skills, credibility, and career opportunities in project management.
Enrollment Opening Soon
Enrollment is set to open soon, and prospective candidates are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to gain industry-relevant skills and join a vibrant community of project management professionals.
The MoU was signed on behalf of GITI by Engr. Surv. Dr. Ebenezer Ankomah Gyamera, Chief Executive Officer and Rector, and on behalf of IET by Engr. Seth Ayim, Executive Director.
