Deputy Minister-designate for Interior, Ebenezer Terlabi has assured the public that when approved by the Appointment Committee, he will approach decisions regarding Ghanaian citizenship with the utmost care and thoroughness.
Speaking during her vetting before Parliament’s Appointments Committee on Monday, February 24, Mr Terlabi emphasised his commitment to being meticulous when reviewing citizenship requirements.
"I think that if my minister decides to get me involved, I can assure you that I am going to be very meticulous when it comes to looking at such requirements and where I need to seek legal advice to support in taking good decisions about who becomes a citizen of this country," Mr Terlabi stated.
Mr Terlabi pledged to carefully consider each case reflecting a thoughtful approach to the delicate process of granting citizenship and emphasises his responsibility in safeguarding the integrity of the country's naturalization system.
