Women of Valour, a group that fights for women's rights, is demanding a thorough investigation into the murder of Yabane Deladem Aku, a final-year student at KNUST.
They want the perpetrator to face the full rigours of the law.
In a statement, Women of Valour condemned the murder, saying it's a sad reminder of the dangers women and girls face.
They're worried about the safety of women, even in places like schools.
While welcoming the arrest of the suspect, Daniel Tuffour, the group is pushing for swift justice. They want KNUST and the authorities to turn their promises of improved security into real action.
Women of Valour has also sent condolences to the family and friends of Yabane, the KNUST student who was murdered. They promise to keep fighting to stop violence against women and girls.
Yabane's body was found near a laboratory on the university campus on February 27, 2025.
Many students are angry and scared, and they're asking for better security on campus.
The police have arrested a suspect, Daniel Tuffour, and he's been sent to court. He's now in custody waiting for his next court date.
