Parliament has announced a re-composition of its committees, with Isaac Adongo appointed as the new Chairperson of the Finance Committee.
This is a key position tasked with overseeing the country’s fiscal policies and economic management.
Mr Adongo, known for his strong stance on economic and financial matters, is expected to bring intense scrutiny to government financial decisions in his new role.
As part of the reshuffle, Abena Osei-Asare has been named Chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), replacing James Avedzi, the former MP for Ketu North.
The PAC plays a vital role in scrutinizing government financial expenditures and ensuring accountability in the use of public funds.
These changes, along with other committee leadership adjustments, are aimed at enhancing legislative oversight and strengthening governance as Parliament continues to play a critical role in ensuring transparency and efficiency in public administration.
