The headmaster of KNUST Senior High School, Anthony Duodu Antwi-Boasiako, says inadequate infrastructure and learning materials are negatively impacting the school.
He pointed to a 40-unit classroom block GETFUND project which has stalled since 2008.
The block is designed to house twelve laboratories, catering to subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, ICT, Home Science, and Virtual Art Studio, and providing a comprehensive learning environment for students.

Addressing the 65th Anniversary launch of KNUST SHS, the headmaster emphasized the importance of prioritizing this project to enhance educational facilities and provide better learning environments for students.
In the congested environment, classrooms have been converted into laboratories, which adversely impacts students and teachers during their studies.

Mr. Antwi-Boasiako noted that due to the limited resources and materials for practical learning, the school has recorded low turnout in competitions like the National Science and Maths Quiz.
He urged the government, alumni, and stakeholders to provide the necessary support to reinstate the project for better learning.

Ashanti Regional Deputy Director of Education, Thomas Kwame Boateng, stated that education is an essential tool for every child and urged the students to take their learning seriously.
He observed an improvement in learning through digitalisation and other teaching methods.
