Accra’s furnishing industry will see a significant addition with the opening of a large-scale furniture showroom in the capital.
As part of efforts to promote employment and create decent jobs, the showroom is intended not only for profit-making but also to attract potential job seekers.
The event is scheduled for Monday, September 29.
Speaking at a media launch of the exhibition on Thursday, September 25, in Accra, the lead organiser, Mr Gold Huang of BG Furnishing, said the facility would provide customers in Ghana with easier access to quality products that previously had to be sourced abroad.
He added that the organisers aim to attract potential job seekers, particularly the unemployed within the Greater Accra Region, who are willing to venture into the sector and make themselves self-employed.
Mr Huang noted that the installation of the showroom was carried out by Chinese craftsmen, adding that warranties are available on all products purchased.
“The opening of BG Furnishings will cut down trips to China and Europe just to buy furniture. We are offering top-quality products for homes and offices. Customers can save airfares and shipping costs by finding everything they need right here in Accra,” he stated.
BG Furnishings is a company specialising in luxury furniture, kitchen sets, customised spaces and other high-end interior solutions.
