Africa’s largest luxury furniture showroom, BG Furnishings, has officially opened a branch in Accra.
The grand opening took place on Monday, September 29, drawing a diverse mix of industry players, interior designers, prospective buyers, and members of the business community.
BG Furnishings specialises in luxury furniture, kitchen sets, customised spaces, and other high-end interior solutions, offering a range of products typically sourced from overseas markets.
The company’s management says the showroom is designed to make premium furnishing options more accessible to Ghanaian consumers.
Co-founder Suelina Jiang described the opening as the beginning of a new chapter in the furnishing sector.
“The opening of BG Furnishings will cut down trips to China and Europe just to buy furniture. We are offering top-quality products for homes and offices. Customers can save airfares and shipping costs by finding everything they need right here in Accra,” she said.
The installation of the showroom was carried out by a team of Chinese craftsmen, with management assuring that warranties are available on all products. This, they say, is intended to build consumer confidence and ensure after-sales support.
Gold Huang, Team Lead of BG Furnishings, explained that the facility aims to give customers in Ghana easier access to quality furnishing solutions that previously had to be sourced abroad.
“Our goal is to make it convenient for buyers to access premium products locally. The showroom provides a full range of furniture and interior solutions without the logistical hurdles associated with importing,” he noted.
The showroom’s scale and product range may also drive increased competition among existing suppliers, potentially impacting pricing and consumer choice in the long term.
