The 2025 NSMQ opened with fireworks at Auditorium 900 as Kwahu Tafo SHS stormed to victory in a thrilling contest.
Kwahu Tafo with speed and calm strategy, dominated the contest, finishing with 42 points ahead of Tarkwa SHS (34 points) and Edinaman SHS (31 points).

The drama peaked in Round 3 when Tarkwa SHS, who had earned 7 out of 10 points in the ‘Problem of the Day’, had their points withdrawn by the quiz mistress for breaching procedure.
The team failed to raise their answer sheet to show they were not writing, as the rules require.

The decision drew murmurs across the auditorium and became a major talking point of the contest.
In the end, Kwahu Tafo SHS held their nerve, sealing a well-deserved win to advance to the one-eighth stage of the competition.
