In commemoration of World Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) has organised a complimentary health screening exercise for its workforce.
The exercise, held at the organisation's headquarters in Accra on Friday, October 31, 2025, was organised in collaboration with the Trudy Arnold Foundation.
The Director of Human Resources and Administration at GEPA, Humphrey Commey, encouraged workers to take advantage of the organisation’s health programmes to access free essential services.
He said GEPA's management prioritises the health of its workers and thus will continue to invest in initiatives that promote their overall well-being to ensure a sound environment for export promotion.
The founder of the Trudy Arnold Foundation, Trudy Arnold Boateng, commended GEPA for spearheading the initiative.
She advised women to schedule routine breast cancer screenings as a proactive measure to prevent the development of the disease.
As part of the exercise, a special health lecture was conducted, followed by an engagement with breast cancer survivors who shared their experiences to illustrate that the disease is curable when detected early.
In addition to breast cancer screening, other healthcare services provided included prostate, eye, and dental examinations.
