The Ghana Police Service has arrested a woman captured in a viral video assaulting her boyfriend, following an operation by the Inspector-General of Police’s Special Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team.
According to the police, the incident, which sparked widespread public outrage on social media, led to the arrest of Esther Nana Afia Sarfowaa on November 27 at Subriso in the Ahafo Ano North Constituency of the Ashanti Region.

A second suspect, Stephen Ofori, was also arrested at Nkawie in the Ashanti Region for his alleged involvement in the assault.
Both individuals are currently in police custody as investigations continue.
According to the police statement, efforts are underway to apprehend three additional suspects who are believed to be on the run.

The Ghana Police Service, in its Facebook update, assured the public of its determination to bring all those involved to justice.
“The Ghana Police Service assures the public of our commitment to bring perpetrators to justice,” the statement said.
