The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has confirmed a fatal road crash at Adansi Akrokerri Junction on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, involving a Hyundai minivan and a Hyundai truck.
According to the Service, the minivan, with registration number AS 8655-20, was attempting to overtake another vehicle when it collided head-on with an oncoming truck, registered AS 3948-24. The impact left the minivan driver dead on the spot.
A rescue team from the Fomena Fire Station, led by LFM Boateng, extricated the deceased driver and handed the body over to police officers present at the scene.

Two occupants of the truck sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the hospital before the rescue team arrived. Both vehicles were extensively damaged, with the truck veering off the road into a ditch.
The GNFS is urging motorists to avoid wrongful overtaking and adhere strictly to road safety regulations to prevent similar incidents.
