Asante Kotoko great Osei Kofi says the Porcupine Warriors can look back on the just-ended season with pride, despite failing to defend their crown.Osei Kofi acted as Communications Director in the second half of the season following the sacking of the old team and says Kotoko's performance towards the end showed their great spirit.“To move from 9th position to 2nd in the manner we did is very creditable,” he says. “I have been a footballer before and a coach at Kotoko and I can say confidently that this was a near miracle.“Everyone in the club will be happy with this before our mandate when we came in the target was to ensure a 4th place finish.“Even though we went on an amazing run, those of us who really understand football knew it wasn’t Kotoko’s League to win. It was mainly fanatics who were talking about winning the title.”Kotoko will now work towards securing the future of Herbert Addo as coach and meet to decide whether to take part in the prestigious top 4 position.Source: Kickoff
