A 17-man playing team are representing Ghana’s national Under-20 team, the Black Satellites at a four-nation tournament hosted by Egypt.
Ghana’s team arrived over the weekend for the tourney which will run from July 21-25 and forms part of the Black Satellites’ build up towards the World Youth Cup.
The four-day competition would also be used by the hosts, Egypt test their readiness to host the world in September for the World Youth Cup.
But for Sellas Tetteh, coach of the team, work has already been in progress ahead of Ghana’s opening game against West African rivals Nigeria on Tuesday with the other game between Egypt and Guatemala.
Ghana’s second game comes up against Guatemala on Wednesday, before they take on Egypt on Friday.
Ghana squad: Robert Dabou, Joseph Addo, Samuel Kyere, Philip Boampong, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu, Ekow Benson, Gideon Baah, Mark Asibiga, Ishmael Anwti, Daniel Owusu, Ben Acheampong, Bright Addai, Mahatma Otu, Aziz Tetteh, Larbi Koomson, Edward Affum, Kasim Sulemana.
