The Electoral Commission (EC) has completed the balloting process for the March 3 Ayawaso East Parliamentary by-election, officially clearing the path for five candidates to contest the seat.
The contenders in the order of positions on the ballot paper include:
• Baba Jamal Mohammed Ahmed – NDC
• Ali Baba Yussif – NPP
• Ibrahim Iddrisu – LPG
• Umaru Sanda – Independent
• Kanor David – Independent
All candidates, according to the Electoral Commission, have met the requirements to participate in the election, and the campaign season is now officially underway.
Both the NDC and NPP have already launched campaign activities across the constituency as aspirants engage voters ahead of the March 3 polls.
