PETROSOL’s Platinum Energy 2026 Women in Leadership Conference concluded on a high note with a strong call for greater women's inclusivity across Ghana’s petroleum industry.
The fifth annual edition, organised by the Petrosol Women’s Network (PWN) to coincide with International Women’s Day, brought together leaders from the downstream petroleum sector to discuss women’s empowerment and leadership in decision-making roles.
Dr. Audrey Smock Amoah, Guest of Honour at the event, commended PETROSOL for creating a platform for meaningful yearly discussions on women’s inclusivity.

She encouraged women to seek reliable support amid professional challenges and praised the PWN platform for advancing conversations that promote empowerment.
Chairing the conference, Dr. Stella Agyenim-Boateng underscored the vital role women play in shaping PETROSOL’s future.
“We are significant members of society who hold the legacy for the next generation,” she said, describing the gathering as a powerhouse assembly extending beyond the company’s female employees.
Keynote speaker Dr. Ellen Ohene-Afoakwa highlighted the transformative impact of investing in women, noting that access to opportunities and support strengthens teams, institutions, and communities.
“Let’s commit to giving boldly, leading courageously, and investing consistently in ourselves, in one another, and in the systems that shape our collective success,” she urged attendees.
The conference also featured a panel discussion with experts including Ama Duncan, Gideon Mankralo, and Kezia Sanie Kermah, who emphasised that investing in women is critical for sustainable community development.
PETROSOL CEO Michael Bozumbil honoured outstanding female staff for their contributions, reaffirming the company’s commitment to championing gender equality and using women’s empowerment as a catalyst for community transformation.
