Mfantsiman Girls’ SHS bounced back from their 2025 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) preliminaries exit with a commanding performance in this year’s contest, seeing off Kade SHTS and Serwaa Kesse Girls’ SHS to book a place in the One-Eighth Stage.

The girls started Saturday’s contest on a strong note, taking the lead in Round One with 23 points, just two points ahead of Kade SHTS.

The school asserted its dominance in the second round, leading the pack with 33 points. Its closest contender, Kade SHTS, scored 18 points.

In Round Three, Mfantsiman Girls' continued to pull away from their challengers, adding eight points to take their tally to 41 points. Kade SHTS and Serwaa Kesse Girls’ SHS finished the round with 20 points and 17 points, respectively.

Round Four ended with Kade SHTS and Serwaa Kesse Girls’ SHS on 30 points each. But Mfantsiman Girls' kept their composure and surged ahead with 57 points.

The final round followed, and Mfantsiman Girls grabbed the opportunity, delivering another commanding performance to finish on 60 points and book their place in the One-Eighth Stage of the competition.

The school also secured the JuPay Clean Sheet Prize for its flawless performance in the designated round.

The feat marks a comeback for Mfantsiman Girls, who were eliminated at the preliminaries last year by Suhum SHS.
