Presby SHS, Adeiso have survived one of the most dramatic contests of the preliminaries, recovering from a late scare to secure victory after briefly slipping to third place.
The Adeiso side started strongly, leading Vakpo SHS and Wovenu SHTS after the opening two rounds. But the contest turned on its head in Round Three when both Vakpo and Wovenu picked up nine points from the Problem of the Day, while Presby managed just three.

Vakpo SHS surged into the lead on 33 points, leaving Presby SHS tied with Wovenu SHTS on 31 points.
The pressure intensified in Round Four. Wovenu SHTS took command with 44 points, Presby SHS moved to 41, while Vakpo SHS stalled on 37 points. With one round left, the outcome looked increasingly difficult to call, and supporters were already on the edge of their seats.
Then came the riddles — and Presby SHS, Adeiso, found their escape route. They added nine points to finish on 50 points, overtaking Wovenu SHTS, who ended on 44 points, while Vakpo SHS remained on 37 points.

After a long day of tense moments and protests, Presby SHS, Adeiso, finally found their way home — with victory. The roar that followed the final scores captured just how close they had come to losing it all.
The victory adds Presby SHS, Adeiso, to the growing list of schools through to the One-Eighth Stage, with just two days of preliminary contests remaining.
