One-time semi-finalists Chemu SHTS have pulled off a sharp takeover, snatching the One-Eighth Stage ticket from Saviour SHS in a dramatic tiebreaker finish.
Saviour SHS controlled the contest from the opening round and held on to the lead through Round Three, looking firmly on course for the ticket.
‎
‎All three schools, Saviour SHS, Chemu SHTS and Wallahs Academy, produced a perfect 10/10 in the Problem of the Day, each securing the GH¢2,000 Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star prize.
‎
‎The drama peaked in Round Four when Chemu and Saviour drew level, setting up a tense final round. Neither school could break away, and the contest ended with both on 50 points.
‎
‎The results took the contest down to a tiebreaker, and Chemu SHTS seized the opportunity to snatch the ticket.
‎
‎The result sparked a huge celebration from the Chemu camp as the one-time semi-finalists completed a stunning takeover right at the finish line.
‎
‎For Saviour, the NSMQ journey is not over yet. They currently sit third on the list of five runner-ups who will advance, but with more contests still to come, they must wait and hope no school posts a higher score and knocks them out.
