Enterprise Group Plc has announced key leadership changes within its life insurance business, with Jacqueline Benyi appointed Group Chief Operating Officer (Life) and Francis Akoto Yirenkyi named acting Managing Director of Enterprise Life Ghana.

The appointments, effective September 1, 2026, are part of the Group’s efforts to strengthen its leadership structure and support the continued growth of its businesses across the region.

Mrs Benyi, who was Managing Director of Enterprise Life Ghana, will now oversee the life insurance operations of Enterprise Life in Ghana, Nigeria and The Gambia, as well as Transitions, the Group’s funeral services business.

Mr Yirenkyi, meanwhile, will serve as acting Managing Director of Enterprise Life Ghana, subject to regulatory approval.

Enterprise Group announced the appointments in a statement, describing them as part of its commitment to developing leadership from within and positioning its businesses for sustained growth.

“These appointments reflect our commitment to developing leadership from within and positioning our businesses for continued growth across the region,” the company said.

The Group congratulated Mrs Benyi and Mr Yirenkyi and wished them success as they assume their new responsibilities.

Enterprise Group is a Ghanaian financial services company with operations spanning insurance, pensions, funeral services, real estate and health insurance.

The Group traces its roots to 1924, when Enterprise Insurance was established in Ghana. It has since expanded beyond its traditional insurance business and now operates through several subsidiaries, including Enterprise Insurance, Enterprise Life Assurance, Enterprise Trustees, Enterprise Properties, Enterprise Funeral Services Ghana (Transitions) and Acacia Health Insurance.

Enterprise Life, the Group’s life insurance subsidiary, has operations in Ghana, Nigeria and The Gambia, offering life insurance and related financial protection products. The company says Enterprise Life became Ghana’s leading life insurance company in 2015, 15 years after commencing operations.

The latest appointments therefore place Mrs Benyi in a broader regional role covering the Group’s life insurance operations in all three markets, while Mr Yirenkyi takes charge of the Ghanaian operation pending regulatory approval.

The two executives have also previously worked together at Enterprise Life. In 2021, Mr Yirenkyi served as General Manager of Distribution, while Mrs Benyi was Managing Director of the company.
