Acacia Health Insurance LTD, a member of the Enterprise Group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Araba Asumanu as its new Managing Director, effective August 1, 2025.
Her appointment marks a new phase in the company’s growth journey, as it deepens its leadership capacity and renews its commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare financing solutions.
Araba is a Chartered Accountant with a distinguished career spanning over 25 years in finance, auditing, strategic planning, and insurance operations.
She holds an Executive MBA in Finance and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Ghana, Legon. She also holds an Advanced Diploma in Insurance and a Certificate in Taxation.
Her professional journey began at KPMG, after which she joined Enterprise Insurance in 1999. Araba rose through the ranks to become the first Group Head of Internal Audit & Assurance for Enterprise Group in 2011. Most recently, she served as General Manager, Finance at Enterprise Insurance, where she was deeply involved in driving financial strategy and value creation across the business.
Her breadth of experience covers auditing, accounting, compliance, investment and risk management, and leadership development. She is known for her collaborative style, execution focus, and strong commitment to professional excellence.
“Araba’s deep institutional knowledge, strategic perspective, and results-oriented leadership make her an excellent fit for this role,” said Daniel Larbi-Tieku, Group CEO of Enterprise Group. “We are confident that under her leadership, Acacia will continue to build on its strong foundation and unlock new opportunities for growth and innovation.”
Araba takes over from Dr. Dan Armooh, who has led the company since 2015. During his tenure, Acacia expanded its footprint and earned industry recognition for its innovative, customer-centric approach to health insurance delivery, including winning the much coveted Health Insurance Provider of the Year award in 2019 and 2021.
Notably, it was under Dr. Armooh’s stewardship that Acacia Health Insurance was successfully acquired by Enterprise Group in June 2021—an important milestone that secured the company’s place within one of Ghana’s most respected financial services groups.
The company thanks Dr. Armooh for his years of dedicated service and wishes him continued success in his future endeavours.
Acacia Health Insurance Ltd (Acacia) is a private commercial health insurance company that provides a comprehensive medical care package to its members.
