Eric Addo is banking on the Black Stars to turn on the style in tonight’s international friendly against Zambia despite struggling to have a full house for the game.
The Holland based defender has been at the Ghana base since Monday but Milovan Rajevac has struggled to get the full complement of his players with many first team names absent over visa difficulties.
John Mensah, Asamoah Gyan, Prince Tagoe, Isaac Vorsah, Opoku Agyeman and Eric Bekoe all failed to secure visas because the applications were not forwarded early enough.
Laryea Kingston’s club Hearts seem to have had their way in pulling their player out of the match, while his brother and goalkeeper Richard is out injured. He is joined on the injury list by striker Matthew Amoah, who pulled a hamstring while playing for his club over the weekend.
But Addo says when the referee Andrew Mariner calls the two teams into action in Leyton at 18h45GMT, there will be no signs of the poor preparations.
“The preparations could have been much better but when the game starts, I am very sure you won’t notice that,” he told KickOffGhana.com.
“We have been through this many times but we have never let it affect the quality of football we play and won’t let it now.”
Addo is likely to play in central defence with Francis Dickoh who has not played for the Black Stars since being dropped from the squad for the 2008 Nations Cup.
