Eric Bekoe has set his sights on finishing as high as possible in the Egyptian goal king stakes as he looks to force his way back into the Black Stars.
Bekoe missed out on a chance to represent Ghana for the first time in more than a year in London last week but believes he will still have plenty of opportunities to force Milovan Rajevac’s hands with three games remaining in the qualifiers.
And the former Asante Kotoko striker and two time Ghana goal king believes the Egypt Premier League provides the best setting for him to do just that.
Bekoe struck the winning goal for Petrojet in their opening league game of the Egyptian season and is primed for their next League game against Zamalek on Thursday.
“I want to score as many goals as I can this season,” he told KickOffGhana.com. “I am setting my targets high because like most Ghanaian players I know that with a Nations Cup to come in January and a world cup that Ghana is very likely to play in, this season will be very crucial.”
Bekoe is particularly keen to impress against Zamalek who passed up the chance to sign him before he ended up at Petrojet.
