Ghana has jumped up three places in the latest FIFA rankings released by the world football governing body.
Victory by the Black Stars in the recent friendly against Zambia seemed to have aided Ghana’s rise from the 35th position to 32nd in the world ranking and sharing 3rd position with Egypt in Africa.
The Ivory Coast are the still the best ranked African at 20th side despite dropping two places down in the international rankings. They are still in the top 20 though as the only African side.
Cameroon remains second on the continent despite an indifferent campaign in the qualifiers so far.
Gabon who were ranked third on the continent have dropped to six but it is Congo DR who were the biggest losers in the rankings dropping 22 places.
