Asamoah Gyan wants fans at the Ohene Djan Stadium in Accra to back the Black Stars all the way through in their World Cup qualifier against Sudan after admitting the venue is the most difficult for the Black Stars.
Gyan endured a frustrating time during the African Nations Cup in Ghana after he was heavily criticised for missing sitter after sitter.
The player will return to the same venue of his horror treatment and he says he is mentally prepared for it.
"I am a Ghanaian player and a striker so sometimes you are criticised for not playing well and I understand," he tells KickOffGhana.com.
"But you have to get over it. Mentally I am tough, I am confident and I am scoring goals so I have no problem."
Gyan envisages a good game for the Black Stars but it seems not much will change his perception of the fans at the Ohene Djan Stadium which has become the dreaded venue for many members of the side.
"In the early stages when the going becomes difficult they start hooting at you. It's not like the Kumasi Stadium where they cheer for ninety minutes and that is a big problem."
