Eric Addo says the Black Stars players can feel the excitement gripping Ghana ahead of the 2010 World Cup qualifier on Sunday but insist they just want to get on the pitch and do the business.
A huge crowd watched the team play two different sides over 45-minute spells and Addo says their dedication to the team has been important.
“Every day they are in training they are here and you could see by their passion for the Black Stars,” he tells KickOffGhana.com.
“The players are aware there is a great deal of excitement in the system ahead of the game because they think we can qualifier on Sunday.”
Addo has played all but one of the current qualifiers and hopes Sunday will be business as usual.
“The fans may be high on their expectation levels but the most important thing is for us to get on the pitch and get the three points. After that if there is a party so be it because it will be nice to seal qualification in front of our wonderful home fans.”
Ghana could secure their place at the 2010 World Cup if they beat Sudan and the game between Mali and Benin ends in a draw.
