Three successive defeats in the Top-4 tourney has been Asante Kotoko's story so far as the Porcupine Warriors sweat to end their poor run.
Kotoko would take on Heart of Lions at the Ohene Djan Stadium when the competition enters the fourth round in midweek.
Rooted bottom of the four-team table with no point to their name, Kotoko would be determined to end their recent winless run as Lions attempt to confirm their off-season superiority over the former champions.
Lions have beaten Kotoko in their last two matches and would be pushing for a third which could hamper the contract talks of coach Herbert Addo.
In the other game, Hearts of Oak after an opening day setback would seek to maintain their impressive form which has seen them win their two last matches.
The Phobians are away at the Baba Yara stadium to King Faisal after a 2-1 win at the Ohene Djan Stadium in the reverse fixture.
