Accra Hearts of Oak are expected to outdoor Egyptian trainer Ayman El Yamani as their new technical head barring any last minute hitch.
The former Swaziland national team coach has been in town for the past two weeks monitoring the team’s performance in the just-ended Top 4 tournament.
Ayman El Yamani is a former player of Zamalek and he will take over from Serbian Kosta Papic who was sacked in the run-up to last season’s Glo Premier League.
Meanwhile, caretaker coach Nii Noi Thompson will know his fate by the close of Wednesday.
The ex-international has been in charge for three months and has failed to impress the management of the club. Nii Noi Thompson’s record of three wins in 14 competitive matches can’t earn him a place on the Hearts of Oak technical bench but he thinks otherwise.
“I am a hundred percent confident that they have to let me continue,” he said.
Nii Noi Thompson said he believes he has “achieved results” because he has over the last three months worked to whip up the morale of his boys, promising there are better times ahead for the team.
As Hearts of Oak begin to strengthen their backroom staff for the new Premier League season, newly promoted Aduana Stars are fortifying their squad.
They have secured the services of former Kumasi Asante Kotoko coach Herbert Addo who has agreed a one-year contract.
